MNHM
OF EMPIRES END
The Dutch collective MNHM is defying labeling and genres. Being pigeonholed as noise rock, math rock, post metal, doom metal, prog, all the way up to free-jazz still fails to aptly describe the band. They have a very own way of composing music, drawing influences from all sorts of genres, and blending everything seamlessly together in epic miniature pieces of music. Most characteristic to the sound of the band is most certainly Otto Kokke’s (Dead Neanderthals) saxophone, but the overall musicianship of the band is nothing short of phenomenal. Now following the critically acclaimed 2013 debut “Super-Empowered”, the quartet has teamed up with Rocky O’Reilly (And so I watch you from afar) to release their brilliant new album “Of Empires Past”
