STEF Heeren, the man behind the ever changing constellation of Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat, is constantly evolving and exploring the fringes of the avant garde musical fabric. While his new work is pushing ever further in the world of analogue synths, his band started out as a dark neo-folkish project. His first two albums came out on the Belgian experimental music label (K-RAA-K)3, but are sold out for quite some time now and never were available on vinyl. Being long time fans of KTAOABC, 9000 Records by Consouling Sounds deemed it time to release the first two albums for the very first time on vinyl, and give it a new life on cd.
If The Sky Falls, We Shall Catch Larks was originally released in 2005 and marks the stellar debut of Kiss The Anus of A Black Cat. The albums contains only 4 (long) tracks, but in those 4 tracks all sorts of musical worlds collide. From dark folk rock to avant garde, space rock and psychedelic rock, the range of this album is nothing short of impressive, and incredibly mature for a debut album.
